Construction was involved in busy road as well as property connections to the residents. The project was performed in combination of Under bore and trench. Efficient stakeholder management, good communication, well and advance planning makes the delivery of the project simpler.

This is Design and Construction contract and includes:
This is Design and Construction contract and includes:
- The replacement of water mains in Cooma and Jindabyne.
- Water main customer service connections, isolating valves and hydrants, as well as the location indicators to be installed for new assets.
- Remove existing assets as detailed in the attached schedule.
- All materials, labour, plant and equipment necessary to carry out the work for the restoration of pavement, revegetation and trench back filling, according to the specification.
- Preparation and submission of project details including:
- Construction Programme
- Environmental Management Plan
- SafeWork Method Statement
- Risk assessment
- Traffic Management Plan.
- Dial before you dig investigation
- Contingency plan for unforeseen problems with trenching methods.
- Pumping and bypass of water and groundwater whenever necessary, to permit the construction works to proceed.
- The Traffic Management Plan for pedestrian and vehicular movements.
- Customer notification and negotiation. Customers and Council to be notified of any interruption to water supply at least 48hrs ahead of scheduled work.
- Consultation with relevant authorities as required.
- Mobilisation to site, erection of site office (if required) and storage yard.
- Excavation of pits and trenches, of sufficient dimensions to carry out the works.
- Pipe bends, junctions and fittings shall be introduced as required per drawings.
- Trimming and removal of existing vegetation where necessary, during the construction stage.
- Under boring under roads and driveways for both mains and service pipe connections.
- Reinstatement of verge, road surface and footpath like for like.
- Open cut and installation of new consumer service connections up to the water meter.
- Decommissioning of old valves, mains and chambers.
- Pressure test and disinfect the new water mains as per Council requirements.
- Commissioning the new water mains. Bring new mains online in cooperation with Council Operations Staff.
- Meeting the current EPA regulation and guidelines.
- Provide Work as Executed drawings of all work carried out in digital (AUTOCAD & PDF) and hardcopy format.
